The Jammu and Kashmir police Saturday claimed to have arrested two militant associates along with huge incriminating war like stories from Tarathpora Handwara in north Kashmir's Kupwara district.
According to Kashmir News Observer (KNO), an official said that in a joint operation of Army’s 30RR, 92 BN CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir police held two militant associates along with arms and ammunition.
An official told—KNO that on specific inputs, a joint naka was laid at Kralgund this afternoon during which two militant associates were arrested from along with huge arms and ammunition.
He said that both the militant associates were taken into custody for further investigation. They identified the duo as Bashir Ahmad Wani, son of Muhammad Afzal Wani of Tarathpora, Vilgam and Nazir Ahmad Wani, son of Abdul Khaliq Wani of Tarathpora, Vilgam.
The official furthermore said that one AK-47, two magazines, one UGBL, one pistol with three magazines were recovered from their possession, adding that a case under FIR number 16/2020, 7/25 under Indian Arms Act 13,18,20 UA (P) stands registered at police station Kralgund.
